Thank you for your interest in Hamberger Medical GmbH. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below we inform you in detail about the handling of your data in connection with the HARO ECG-seat app.
The ECG-seat app (hereinafter referred to as the "app") is provided by Hamberger Medical GmbH, Rohrdorfer Str. 133, 83071 Stephanskirchen, Germany (hereinafter referred to as "we"). The legal manufacturer of the product is be-on-market GmbH, Lilienstrasse 33, 91244 Reichenschwand, Germany.
For reasons of better readability, the simultaneous use of the language forms male, female and diverse (m/f/d) is omitted. All personal designations apply equally to all genders.
You are not contractually obliged to provide personal data. Without the data, however, you cannot use our app and thus the ECG-seat with the data readout function.
In accordance with the terms of use for the free ECG-seat app, the app is made available to the user for download in an app store. After installation on a device, all data processing takes place exclusively locally on your smartphone or tablet in the app and data does not leave your mobile device. At no time is data transmitted to our servers, and Hamberger Medical GmbH does not access, store or otherwise process personal data at any time.
Responsibility for data processing therefore lies with the user. The user is also responsible for data processing in the context of guest measurements by other persons via the app on the user's device.
However, you can use the app to forward the data recorded by the ECG-seat to third parties via PDF using the share function on your smartphone or tablet, e.g. to the doctors treating you. This is your own responsibility under data protection law. We recommend that you do not send the data to third parties unencrypted, but use the option offered in the app to encrypt the PDF in advance with a password.
We would also like to point out that, depending on the configuration of your operating system, data from the app may be transmitted to the provider of your smartphone or tablet to create a device backup (iCloud backup, Google backup), whose servers are also located outside the European Union and may therefore not provide an adequate level of data protection. We have no influence on this process. If you wish to prevent this, you can do so via the backup settings of your smartphone or tablet, where you can usually also delete backups that have already been created; please refer to the operating information of your smartphone or tablet.
System updates are made available by Hamberger Medical GmbH in the respective app store. Here too, Hamberger Medical GmbH does not process any user data.
The data will be processed for as long as you use the app. You can delete the data by either deleting the app or deleting the usage data from the app. This depends on the operating system used on your smartphone or tablet.
